Sexual harassment (SH) occurs when people-mostly women-are targets of unwanted sexual comments, gestures, or actions associated with a lack of empathy on the part of the offender. Virtual Reality (VR) has been defined as the "ultimate empathy machine" because it allows the user to take other people's perspective. The present work aims to study the effect of a 360°-video-based VR experience (vs. traditional perspective-taking task) on empathy and related concepts (i.e., violent attitude, perspective taking, sense of oneness) toward a female victim of SH in a male sample. Background The 17q21.31 deletion syndrome phenotype can be caused by either chromosome deletions or point mutations in the KANSL1 gene. To date, about 60 subjects with chromosome deletion and 4 subjects with point mutation in KANSL1 have been reported. Prevalence of chromosome deletions compared with point mutations, genotype–phenotype correlations and phenotypic variability have yet to be fully clarified. Methods We report genotype–phenotype correlations in 27 novel subjects with 17q21.31 deletion and in 5 subjects with KANSL1 point mutation , 3 of whom were not previously reported. Complex singularities in KdV solutions

In the small dispersion regime, the KdV solution exhibits rapid oscillations in its spatio-temporal dependence. We show that these oscillations are caused by the presence of complex singularities that approach the real axis. We give a numerical estimate of the asymptotic dynamics of the poles.

Knowledge Base Approach for 3D Objects Detection in Point Clouds Using 3D Processing and Specialists Knowledge

This paper presents a knowledge-based detection of objects approach using the OWL ontology language, the Semantic Web Rule Language, and 3D processing built-ins aiming at combining geometrical analysis of 3D point clouds and specialist's knowledge. Here, we share our experience regarding the creation of 3D semantic facility model out of unorganized 3D point clouds. Thus, a knowledge-based detection approach of objects using the OWL ontology language is presented. This knowledge is used to define SWRL detection rules. El monogramista F.D.V. ¿Frans de Vriendt? A propósito de una Susana y los viejos firmada y fechada en 1543

En este artículo analizamos una pintura flamenca inédita, que representa la escena de Susana y los viejos. Se conserva en una colección particular de Cartagena (Murcia). Está fechada en 1543 y firmada por F.D.V., monograma que plantea la principal incógnita de nuestra investigación. Tales siglas hacen pensar de inmediato en el pintor Frans Floris de Vriendt. En este sentido, los rasgos estilísticos de la obra están próximos al espíritu de este maestro. Sin embargo, diversas cuestiones nos impiden confirmar por el momento tal autoría. Sperimentazione di servizi di posizionamento in tempo reale nella rete GNSS dell'Università di Palermo

Il Dipartimento di Rappresentazione dell’Università di Palermo ha realizzato e gestisce una rete di otto stazioni permanenti GNSS nella Sicilia centro occidentale, che fornisce, in forma sperimentale, dati per servizi di posizionamento sia in post elaborazione che in tempo reale (NRTK). In questo lavoro vengono presentati i primi risultati di una sperimentazione che ha riguardato la verifica del posizionamento in modalità NRTK eseguito su punti di coordinate note all’interno dell’area racchiusa dalla rete di stazioni permanenti.
